The "Clone to one-to-many comparisons" toggle is a feature in the Versions workflow that simplifies comparing one base document (v1) against multiple updated versions (v2s).

How It Works
When using the Versions workflow:

  1. Create a Matter:

    • From the workspace overview, click Create matter. Give your Matter a name, and choose the Versions workflow.

  2. Upload Base Document (v1):

    • Upload the original version of your document that will act as the reference for all comparisons.

  3. Open the Batch Upload Modal:

    • Click Batch Upload to open the upload screen.

  4. Upload Updated Documents (v2s):

    • Add multiple documents that contain the new versions of your base document.

Note: There is a limit of 10 documents that can be used with the one to many toggle.

5. Toggle On "Clone to One-to-Many Comparisons":

  • Enable the toggle labeled "Clone for one-to-many comparisons".

  • This automatically clones your original v1 document and pairs it with each uploaded v2:

    • (v1 → v2-A)

    • (v1 → v2-B)

    • (v1 → v2-C)

    • etc.

6. Review Pairings:

  • Confirm the mappings in the next screen. You’ll see each v1 document paired with a different v2 file under One-to-Many Comparison Mode.

7. Submit:

  • Click Submit to generate your comparisons.

8. View Comparisons:

  • Click the blue Redlines buttons from the toolbar to view the comparison outputs.

9. Save Comparisons:

  • Click Save to finalize and store your comparisons in the File Manager.
