Yes, you can use a Merge workflow to generate mass emails and send them via Outlook or your preferred email app.

The best way do this is to draft the form email in a Word doc with variables in square brackets and then use a merge workflow to spin it out for each recipient. Then copy/paste the emails into Outlook and send them out.

When doing this, it helps to use a consistent naming convention in the template email file name and any merged document file names they want to attach to the email. For example, starting each file name with “[Recipient] -“. This will keep all the files neatly arranged and make it easier to add the attachments to the email.

There’s an extra step in needing to copy the email into outlook but by doing this in a Merge workflow this still saves you a ton of time and prevents mistakes in your emails.
