Forms are guided questionnaires that you can build on top of your Merge turnsheets. Use them to give your colleagues or clients an easy way to generate a single suite of documents from your Merge sheet. They provide a simple, user-friendly frontend to your turnsheet, and are especially useful for templates and document automation.

Consider adding a form to your turnsheet when the people using it:

  • only need to create one set of documents at a time (i.e., if they were using the table, they would only fill out one row)

  • aren't familiar with the construction of your documents and wouldn't understand your column headings

  • shouldn't be making any changes to your table, only filling in information

  • are from outside your organization (you can share forms with anyone using a password-protected public link).

When someone completes your form, they will get a set of documents, and their responses will be added as a new row to your turnsheet, letting you keep track of all the responses over time and all the documents created.
