Keep your document previews open while setting up your turnsheet to visualize your work, and use the Extract panel to set them up faster.

The best way to set up your turnsheet is to do so with a document preview open to the side in the Preview panel and to press the Update Preview button regularly to reload document previews after making changes to the turnsheet. That way, you'll see right away the effect your inputs in the turnsheet will have on your documents, and you'll find it much faster and more accurate to set up.

You should also use the Extract panel to automatically extract square-bracketed [placeholders] from your documents, as well as frequently-changing data points like names, dates, places, and more. You can extract and add these to your turnsheet in just a couple of clicks, helping you get your turnsheets set up faster and making sure you don't miss anything.
