By default, one or more consecutive spaces in your Find what: text will match one or more of any consecutive white-space characters (including line breaks) in the documents, even if the number is not the same.

If you want 0 spaces in your Find what: text to match any number of spaces in the documents, enable the Ignore white-space characters editing option.
