With the search bar in the documents panel, you can search all of your documents to see which ones contain the given text without having to open each preview one by one to see if it's there. Use this feature to check which documents contain a Merge column heading or Find & Replace find-text. If it's not where you think it should be, you can tweak it and search again. You can also check which documents are impacted by a given instruction, and review just those to check its effects.

To search for text in your documents, press the Documents button to open the documents pane. Typing into the search bar located at the top of the panel will retrieve the documents matching that text. To carry out more advanced searches, click the expanded arrow to input multi-line search text and configure the editing options.

Additionally, within a Merge workflow, you can quickly search for column headings in your documents by opening the column heading menu and selecting Search in documents. The column editing Editing options will be transferred to the Search in documents.
